Listerhill Breaks Ground in Hamilton

Listerhill officially broke ground on their new 2,950 square foot financial center in Hamilton, Ala. with friends and partners in the Hamilton community.

HAMILTON, Ala. - For the second time in 2025, Listerhill is breaking ground for a new branch location to improve the banking experience for its members and the local community.

Officials and team members from Listerhill Credit Union, the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, the City Council of Hamilton, and other honored guests came together on Thursday, September 25th for a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Listerhill's new branch. The new facility is scheduled to open around July 2026.

The credit union broke ground for their new 2,950 square foot financial center at 1597 Military Street, just about a mile north of their current branch in Hamilton, which is being replaced by the new construction.

Brad Green, President & CEO of Listerhill, opened the groundbreaking ceremony by saying,

"Today represents more than just breaking ground on a new building - we're returning value to the Hamilton community and the members we've been honored to serve here for many years."

Green continued,

"Our current branch has served us well, but the time has come to give our members and employees a modern, top-of-the-line facility that better supports their needs. This new branch will blend personal, consultative service with the very best technology, ensuring 24-hour accessibility and a better overall experience."

Green finished by adding that,

"We are proud to continue investing in this community by constructing a facility that reflects the high level of service and innovation that we strive to provide."

Alanna Sullivan, Chief Operations Strategist with Listerhill, said,

"This groundbreaking is about more than bricks and mortar - it's about Listerhill reinvesting in the people and businesses of this community.

By replacing an outdated building with a state-of-the-art facility, we're creating more space, more convenience, and more opportunities to improve the lives of the families and businesses who rely on us every day."

Sullivan said that the branch will reflect Listerhill's enhanced retail model, which will include an open floor plan, employees able to assist members with any of their financial needs and expanded self-service options.

"The Chamber congratulates Listerhill on this new facility,"

said Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce Director Danielle Wiedel.

"This investment demonstrates Listerhill's commitment to keeping financial services strong and accessible right here in our community."

Bob Page, Mayor of Hamilton, added that,

"Listerhill has always been a trusted partner to the City of Hamilton. We're excited to see them upgrade to a new branch that will serve residents and businesses with excellence for years to come."

While the building is being constructed, Listerhill will continue to offer in-person account service at its branch located at 2201 Military Street South in Hamilton or online at listerhill.com.
